Privacy Policy & Data Usage (Beta)

Last updated: May 2026

At OmniDraft, your privacy is our absolute priority. Because our tool integrates directly into your operating system and handles your writing, we believe in 100% transparency about how your data is handled. Here is everything you need to know in plain English:

1. We do NOT read or store your text

Under no circumstances do we read, process, log, or store the text you select, type, or generate using OmniDraft. When you press the shortcut, your text is sent directly and securely to the AI provider (Google Gemini API) for processing. Once the AI returns the corrected text to your screen, it disappears from our system completely. We have zero access to your private conversations, emails, or documents.

2. What data we DO collect (Anonymous Telemetry)

To improve the app and fix bugs during this Beta phase, we collect minimal, completely anonymous usage data. This includes:

  • Basic events: "App started", "Shortcut pressed", "Text completed", or "Error occurred".
  • Your selected configuration (e.g., language or AI model used).
  • A randomly generated ID (UUID) to count daily active users without knowing who they are.

We do not link this telemetry to your name, email address, IP address, or any personally identifiable information.

4. Opting Out

Currently, as a free Beta user, anonymous telemetry helps us keep the servers running and fix critical bugs. In future premium releases, you will have a toggle in the settings menu to completely disable all telemetry if you prefer strict offline privacy.
